A Massachusetts man is dead after he was struck in Boston by a hit-and-run driver who is accused of driving drunk at the time of the crash, according to state police.The crash happened on Storrow Drive shortly after 1 am Saturday.State police said 22-year-old Brandon Jennings, of Marlborough, was walking on Storrow Drive near the off-ramp to the Tobin Bridge and Interstate 93 north when he was struck by a vehicle that then fled the scene.Troopers and Boston Emergency Medical Services personnel immediately responded to the scene and rendered emergency first aid, but Jennings was pronounced dead at the scene. State police said another driver who witnessed the crash followed the suspect vehicle, a gray 2007 Honda Accord, after it fled the scene of the crash. The witness followed the Honda all the way to an apartment building at 65 Center St. in Lynn, and then provided the vehicle’s location and its license plate to police.Troopers immediately responded to the Lynn apartment building and found 36-year-old Miguel Rodriguez , who lives at that Center Street address, walking in the parking lot.Rodriguez was in possession of the key to the Honda and troopers determined that he had been using the car, which is registered to another man, according to state police.A state police sergeant administered a portable breath test to Rodriguez. According to officials, that test registered a blood alcohol content of .119 roughly two hours after the crash. He was ordered to appear in Boston Municipal Court on Monday for arraignment.
